Charles Meyer is Managing Director: OPTRON Technologies for OPTRON Group, and manages the geospatial, construction, mining and precision agriculture technology portfolios. SITECH SA is a subsidiary company within OPTRON Group. Charles has over 30 years’ experience in the Geomatics industry and joined the company in January 2003, as the East Coast Branch Manager. He was promoted to National Sales Manager in 2006, Sales Director in 2013 and then Managing Director in January 2018 – acknowledgement for his contribution to the company’s growth and development.

Charles holds a National Diploma in Surveying, is registered as a Surveyor with PLATO and is a member of the South African Geomatics Institute.
Prior to joining OPTRON, Charles ran his own successful survey practice, specialising in engineering surveys throughout Africa, which he subsequently sold.
