As we come to grips with the unprecedented situation caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, we felt the need to reach out and update you on the measures we have put in place during this time to support all our clients who provide ESSENTIAL SERVICES, as well as those that require support whilst working from home.
The OPTRON Group of companies, comprising of OPTRON, SITECH SA and Vantage SSA, fully support the decision by President Ramaphosa and the measures taken to fight this virus. The sooner we can slow down the spread of the virus, the sooner life will return back to normal in both our personal and business lives – this is critical.
With the health and safety of our staff in mind, we’ve made the necessary arrangements to be able to continue supporting our customers, especially those that form part of the essential services category. These measures allow us to support our customers remotely or on-site, for those considered as providing essential services.

In addition to the above, we have embraced leading technology in the daily operation of our business over the years to equip the necessary administrative staff to work from home and to ensure that administrative processes can continue to function effectively. Fortunately, the majority of our IT infrastructure has already been transitioned to the cloud and as such the transition was fairly seamless. As for our Sales and Marketing personnel, they are contactable as usual.
We are working closely with both our Sales and Support personnel, to make the most of the ‘downtime’ during this lockdown period. We will communicate further with you in this regard in the near future.
